About

The Friends of Georgia Archives & History, formed in 2004, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports and enhances the programs of the Georgia Archives and the Georgia Capitol Museum. We promote public awareness of the treasures found at the Archives and Capitol by underwriting education programs, public lectures, internships, exhibits, and projects. FOGAH strives to bring life to the documents and artifacts through programs that focus on those who created them, the significance of their creation, and the impact they had on the lives of ancestors and modern-day citizens.

FOGAH specifically supports the mission of the Georgia Archives by:

Funding research tools, conservation, and educational programs
Providing volunteers for Archives, Capitol Museum, and FOGAH events
Advocating for the value of the Georgia Archives and archives in general
Supporting archival training, particularly through internships and the Dunaway Scholarship

Membership in FOGAH is open to all who appreciate and support our mission. Contributions to FOGAH are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
