Advocacy
Back in 2012, the Georgia Archives was threatened with closure due to budget cuts. The Friends of Georgia Archives and History, along with organizations across the state, fought to keep this resource for Georgians open to the public. Thanks to our successful lobbying efforts, the Archives remains open to this day.
These photos, all from 2013, show FOGAH protesting the closure of the Georgia Archives and celebrating when the archives were saved.
