2026 Friends of Georgia Archives and History Ornament

The Live Oak

Celebrate America 250 and Georgia history with the 2026 FOGAH Ornament, featuring the Live Oak Tree. Since 1937, the Live Oak has been the Official State Tree in Georgia. Historically, the hardwood from these trees has been used to build some of the nation's most important sailing vessels, including the legendary USS Constitution ("Old Ironsides")

Proceeds from this ornament benefit the Friends of Georgia Archives and History (FOGAH), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2004. FOGAH supports the Georgia Archives’ mission to identify, preserve, and share the historical records that define our state’s legacy. Through public programs, internships, exhibits, and advocacy, FOGAH works to ensure that Georgia’s stories remain accessible for generations to come.
